秋高气爽，天气干燥。秋季也是最容易发生火灾的季节。
这一天，森林里发生了火灾，只见森林里燃起了熊熊烈火，火光冲上天，红透了整个森林上空。百兽们闻讯从家里跑出来去救火。有的拿着水桶、有的拿着棉被、有的拿着树枝豹子凭他奔跑的特长一马当先，老虎不甘示弱紧随其后。他们俩奋力扑火，豹子拿来了森林里最大的水桶一桶一桶的泼向火里，老虎用沙子往火里扬大家干得热火朝天，谁也没有留意脚下，豹子不小心摔了一跤，他拍拍屁股爬起来接着救火。在百兽们的齐心合力下大伙迅速被扑灭，大家收拾完战场准备回家的时候，豹子这时才发现他的脚不能动了，可能是刚才滑倒的时候把脚骨摔断了。老虎扶着豹子一瘸一拐地回到家。
过了几天，森林里召开救火小英雄的表彰大会。豹子和老虎都获得了救火小英雄的称号。由于豹子脚受伤不能来参加表彰大会，更不能站在讲台上领奖杯了。老虎替豹子领回了奖杯。
老虎捧着金光闪闪的奖杯迫不及待来到豹子家，他想在第一时间把这个好消息告诉豹子。他急切地敲了两下门，开门的居然是豹子本人，他的脚已经好了很多。老虎把奖杯递给他，他俩互相看看都会心地笑了。
