史中最悲惨的一次，这次地震破坏范围超过3万平方公里，有感范围波及全国14个省、市、自治区，相当于国土面积的一半，这次地震共造成人员死亡24.2万余人，重伤16.4万余人，轻伤者不计其数。但大家知道那次的震级吗？是7.8级。

在12号的下午2：28分四川汶川发生的地震也是7.8级，从已知的报道看死亡人数已达1.2万人，但还有6万人生死不明，据现场直升机发回的报道，汶川县城现在已经成为废墟，超过了48小时，生还的希望渺茫，空中救援部队的一个连已经冒着雷阵雨空降，150名解放军战士已经牺牲4名。温总理在都江堰的临时帐篷中日以继夜的指挥救援工作，每到一个现场他总是亲自向被埋的幸存者喊话，鼓励他们一定要坚持，见到遇难者的遗体年过花甲的总理哭得不成样子，那场面真得让人揪心。但他们都有一个信念，那就是让所有人都平安脱险，这是一种什么精神，这是对国家对人民高度负责的精神。

(一)愿逝者安息，愿生者坚强

――――沉痛哀悼在汶川大地震中遇难的同胞们！

2008年5月12日下午2点28分，四川省发生里氏8.0级强烈地震，震中位于阿坝州汶川县。地震造成伤亡惨重，目前已有四万多人遇难，500多万人无家可归。人民解放军开赴第一线抗灾救人，温家宝总理亲临第一线指挥。

前一天还鲜活的生命转瞬即逝，昔日美丽的家园已变成如今残破的废墟，无数个家庭不再完整。看着被破坏的房屋和坍塌的道路，听着丧失亲人悲痛的哭声和获救后因激动而无法言语的哽咽，我们的心一次又一次地被震动。

灾难无情，人有情。在这场自然灾难面前，人的生命显得是那样的脆弱，但在灾难降临后，13亿中华儿女的凝聚力又一次得到了升华。灾区的救援工作牵动着无数华夏儿女的心，所有人都希望那些正处于水深火热中的同胞早日得到救助。

为表达全国各族人民对四川汶川大地震遇难同胞的深切哀悼，国务院决定，2008年5月19日 至21日为全国哀悼日。在此期间，全国和各驻外机构下半旗志哀，停止公共娱乐活动，外交部和我国驻外使领馆设立吊唁簿。5月19日14时28分起，全国人民默哀3分钟。届时汽车、火车、舰船鸣笛，防空警报鸣响。
