Dr.:And you read my writing upside down. You see what I mean? John, you're a soldier, and it's going to take you a while to adjust to civilian life, and writing a blog about everything that happens to you will honestly help you.(而你颠倒着读出了我写的东西, 知道我什么意思了? W: Nothing happens to me.(我根本没有遭遇)

A Study in Pink(粉色的研究)
Reporter1: Detective Inspector, how can suicides be linked?(探长 自杀事件怎么会有关联?)
Lestrade: Well, they all took the same poison. They were all found in places they had no reason to be.None of them had shown any prior indication.(因为他们服用的药都一样,尸体都在他们不该出现的地方出现,都没有明显的动机)Reporter1: But you can't have serial suicides.(不可能会有连环自杀)Lestrade: Well, apparently you can.(显然已经有了)

Reporter4: Is there any chance that these are murders? And if they are, is this the work of a serial killer?(有可能是谋杀吗? 如果是的话,会是连环杀手干的吗?)Lestrade: I know that you like writing about these, but these do appear to be suicides. We know the difference. Reporter5: Yes, but if they are murders, how do people keep themselves safe?(是的,可如果他们真是被杀,大家怎么才能保证自身安全?)Lestrade: Well, don't commit suicide.(不要自杀。)S.D: Daily Mail(每日邮报)Lestrade: Obviously, This is a frightening time for people, but all anyone has to do is exercise reasonable precautions. We are all as safe as we want to be.(现在虽是恐慌时期,大家需要的是提高警惕。安全是可以由自己创造的.)Phone: Wrong!(错)Phone of Lestrade: You know where to find me.SH.(你知道我在哪里 夏·福)Lestrade: Thank you.(谢谢大家)S.D: You've got to stop him doing that. He's making us look like idiots.(你得阻止那家伙,弄的我们像白痴一样。)Lestrade: If you can tell me how he does it, I'll stop him.(你告诉我他是怎么做到的我就去)

W: Yes, how did you know?(是的,你怎么知道?)
S.H: I didn't know, I saw.Your haircut, the way you hold yourself says military. But your conversation ' Bit different from my day.’ said trained at Barts, so Army doctor, obvious.Your face is tanned but no tan above the wrists. You've been abroad, but not sunbathing.Your limp's really bad when you walk, but you don't ask for a chair when you stand that you forgot about it, so it's at least partly psychosomatic. That says the original circumstances of the injury were traumatic wounded in action then.Wounded in action, suntan, Afghanistan or Iraq.(我不是知道,是观察到的。 W: You said I had a therapist.(你说我有个治疗师)
S.H: You've got a psychosomatic limp, of course you've got a therapist.Then there's your brother.Your phone.It's expensive, e-mail enabled, MP3 player.And you're looking for a flatshare.You wouldn't buy this, it's a gift.Scratches.Not one, many over time, it's been in the same pocket as keys and coins.You wouldn't treat your one luxury item like this, so it's had a previous owner.Next bit's easy.You know it already.(你有伤残心理障碍, 当然会有治疗师。
A Study in Pink(粉色的研究)
W: The engraving?(刻的字?)
S.H: Harry Watson.Clearly a family member who's given you his old phone. Not your father, this is a young man's gadget.Could be a cousin, but you're a war hero who can't find a place to live, unlikely you've got an extended family, not one you're close to.So brother it is.Now, Clara, who's Clara? Three kisses says it's a romantic attachment. The expense of the phone says wife, not girlfriend.Must have given it to him recently, it's only six months old.Marriage in trouble then, six months on he's given it away.If she'd left him, he would have kept it.Sentiment.No, he wanted rid of it.He left her.He gave the phone to you, so he wants you to stay in touch. You're looking for cheap accommodation, but you're not going to your brother for help, that says you've got problems with him.Maybe you liked his wife, or don't like his drinking.(哈利·华生。
W: How can you possibly know about the drinking?(你怎么知道他喝酒的事?)
S.H: Shot in the dark.Good one, though.Power connection, tiny little scuff marks round it.Every night he plugs it in but his hands are shaking. You never see those marks on a sober man's phone, never see a drunk's without them. There you go, you were right.(胡乱猜的,但还挺准。 W: I was right? Right about what?(我对了?哪里说对了?)S.H: The police don't consult amateurs.(警察不会咨询外行)W: That...was amazing.(这...太神奇了)S.H: Do you think so?(你这样觉得?)
W: Of course it was.It was extraordinary, quite extraordinary.(当然了。了不起,真的很了不起)S.H: That's not what people normally say.(别人通常不会这么说)W: What do people normally say?(别人一般怎么说?)S.H: Piss off.(滚开)
S.H: Did I get anything wrong?(我有哪里猜错了吗?)
W: Harry and me don't get on, never have, Clara and Harry split up three months ago and they're getting a porce, and Harry is a drinker.(哈利和我关系不好,从来没好过。
S.H: Spot on, then.I didn't expect to be right about everything.(那全中。 W: Harry's short for Harriet.(哈利是哈莉叶的爱称)S.H: Harry's your sister.(哈利是你的姐妹)W: Look, what exactly am I supposed to be doing here?(我到底来这儿做什么?)S.H: Sister(姐妹)W: No, seriously, what am I doing here?(老实讲,我到底来这里做什么?)S.H: There's always something.(总要出点错)
1.Based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle;根据阿瑟柯南道尔爵士作品改编;
这样的说法是“Based on...”
2.What do you mean there's no ruddy car?
——我们都知道在美式英语里常把“damn” “darn”这样的字眼加在名词前以表愤怒,比如“Where is my darn watch?”(我那该死的表哪儿去了?),而在英式英语中则用“bloody”,比如“You dont' have a bloody plan!”(你们没个倒霉计划!)。
ruddy: In the United Kingdom and some other parts of the Commonwealth, “ruddy” is also used as a mild curse(rather like “damn” or “darn”)in place of the more offensive “bloody”.3.My husband was a happy man who lived life to the full...
——live life to the full,也可以说成live a full life,意思是努力生活。
4.I'll be just two minutes, mate.
——“我只要两分钟”的地道口语表达不是“I need two minutes”,注意用这个“I'll be just...”
5.Junior Minister for Transport
1.In the light of this, these incidents are now being treated as linked.
——in the light of this,
2.The poison was clearly self-administered.
3.bright young things like we used to be.
4.What about you? Just staying in town till you get yourself sorted?
5.Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
6.I don't know, get a flatshare or something?
7.I refreshed it a bit.
8.What's wrong with the landline?
1.Wasn't a difficult leap.
2....got my eye on a nice little place in central London...
3.Got to dash.
——英版的“gotta go”。
4.I think I left my riding crop in the mortuary.
5....more likely because he recently walked out on his wife. ——walk out on sb.
6.Well, obviously I can erm...straighten things up a bit.
7.Oh, don't worry.There's all sorts round here.
1.Something cold will do.
——“something will do”这个句型比“something would be nice”要随性一点,在口语中很好用。
2.But you're more the sitting-down type, I can tell.
3.Cup of tea'd be lovely.
4.I'll skip the tea.Off out.
——skip,跳过的意思;off out,表示“走了”,经常可以听到上级对下面的人说“Off you go.”
5.Means when the police are out of their depth, which is always, they consult me.
——“be out of depth”的解释是“to not have the knowledge, experience, or skills to deal with a particular subject or situation”,简单说就是“搞不定了、玩儿不转了、找不到方向了”。
6.Not your father, this is a young man's gadget...unlikely you've got an extended family...
1.shot in the dark.A good one, though.
2.power connection
3.piss off 滚开
I was totally pissed off.
4.freak's here.Bringing him in.
5....and just happened to stay over.
——stay over是“过夜”的意思,happen to do sth.
6.And I assume she scrubbed your floors, going by the state of her knees.
——going by这里是judging by的意思,就是根据……
1.Thank you for your input.
——这句话还可以说成“Thank you for your participation.”

4.She colour-coordinates her lipstick and her shoes...

5.We're done waiting.
——done doing sth.
1.What is your connection to Sherlock Holmes?
要注意的是:这里用connection这个字表达“关系”时,连词要用to,并且注意华生的回答是“I don't have one.”;而如果你想用relationship,那连词要改成with。
2....but I think it's none of your business.
——It's none of your business. It's not your business.

4.Most people...blunder around this city...

——be haunted by sth.

1.I need to stop off somewhere first.
2.Any chances you could not tell him this is where I went?
—— Any chances 摆在句首表示一种委婉的请求,但又没有Would you please...
3.Nicotine patch
4.Do people have arch-enemies?

6.Anderson, don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street.

——put up with sb./ sth.
2.One thing about being a cabbie-you always know a nice quite spot for a murder.
3.I'm surprised more of us don't branch out.
4.And you just walk your victims in?
5.Sherlock Holmes, look at you!Here in flesh!
6.You are a proper genius.

Lestrade: And exactly how many times did he fall out the window?(他到底从窗户里掉出来多少次?)Sherlock: It's all a bit of a blur, Detective Inspector.I lost count.(当时场面太乱,探长.我数不清了)Watson: She'll have to sleep upstairs in our flat tonight, we need to look after her.(今晚她得睡在楼上我们套房里,我们得照看她)Sherlock: No...She's fine.(不…

Irene: Code, obviously.I had one of the country's best cryptographers take a look, though he was mostly upside down, as I recall.Couldn't figure it out. What can you do, Mr Holmes? Go on, impress a girl.(很明显,是密码. Sherlock: There's a margin for error, but I'm pretty sure there's a 747 leaving Heathrow tomorrow at 6.30 for Baltimore.Apparently it's going to save the world, I'm not sure how, but give me a moment, I've only been on the case eight seconds.Oh, come on, it's not code, these are seats on a passenger jet.Look, no 'I' because it can be mistaken for one.No letters past 'K' ,the width of the plane is the limit. The numbers always appear not in sequence, but the letters have little runs of sequence all of the place families and couples sitting together.Only a Jumbo's wide enough for a letter 'K' or rows past 55, so there's always an upstairs.A row 13 eliminates superstitious airlines. The style of the flight number, '007', eliminates a few more.Assuming a British point of origin because of the original source information, and assuming the crisis is imminent, the only flight that matches all the criteria and departs within the week is the 6.30 to Baltimore tomorrow from Heathrow. Please don't feel obliged to tell me that was amazing, John's expressed that in every possible variant available in English language.(可能还有修正余地,但我确定有架747客机明天6:30从希斯罗机场飞往巴尔的摩.
Irene: I would have you right here, on this desk, until you begged for mercy twice.(我真想就在这要了你,就在这桌上,直到你求饶两次)Sherlock: John, can you check those flight schedules, see if I'm right?(约翰,你能否查查航班号,看我说对了吗?)Watson: I'm on it, yeah.(我正在找)Sherlock: I've never begged for mercy in my life.(我这辈子从没向人求饶)Irene: Twice.(两次)Watson: Yeah, you're right, flight double 'o' seven.(你是对的,航班号007)Sherlock: What did you say?(你说什么?)
Watson: You're right.(你是对的)
Sherlock: No, after that. What did you say after that?(不,你之后说了什么?)Watson: Double 'o' seven, flight double 'o' seven.(007,航班号007)Sherlock: Double 'o' seven, double 'o' seven...Something, double 'o' seven...What?(007,007.
“Mycroft: 'Bond Air is go, that's decided.Check with the Coventry lot.”(邦德直升机起飞,已经决定了.
Irene: I've never been.Is it nice?(没去过.那里很美吗?)Sherlock: Where's John?(约翰去哪儿了?)Irene: He went out, a couple of hours ago.(他几个小时之前出去了)Sherlock: I was just talking to him.(我在和他说话)Irene: He said you do that. What's Coventry got to do with anything?(他说你会这样.考文垂和事情有什么联系?)Sherlock: It's a story, probably not true, in the Second World War, the Allies knew Coventry was going to get bombed, because they'd broken the German code, but didn't want the Germans to know that they’ve broken the code, so they let it happen anyway.(有一个故事,不一定是真的. Irene: Have you ever had anyone?(你和谁有亲密接触吗?)Sherlock: I'm sorry?(什么?)Irene: And when I say had, I'm being indelicate.(我说的有过露骨的那种)Sherlock: I don't understand.(我不明白)
Irene: I'll be delicate then. 一起吃晚餐吧)Sherlock: Why?(为什么?)Irene: You might be hungry.(你也许饿了)Sherlock: I'm not.(我没有)Irene: Good.(很好)Sherlock: Why would I...want to have dinner..if I wasn't hungry?(为什么我想... 如果我不饿的话)Irene: Mr Holmes, if it was the end of the world, if this was the very last night...would you have
dinner with me?(福尔摩斯先生,如果这是世界末日,如果这是最后一晚,你会和我共进晚餐吗?)Mrs Hudson: Sherlock?(夏洛克?)Irene: Too late.(太迟了)Sherlock: That's not the end of the world, that's Mrs Hudson.(不是世界末日,是赫德森太太)Mrs Hudson: Sherlock, this man was at the door, is the bell still not working? 他拿枪打坏的)Sherlock: Have you come to take me away again?(你又要来把我带走吗?)Man: Yes, Mr Holmes.(是的,福尔摩斯先生)
Sherlock: Well, I decline.(我拒绝)Man: I don't think you do.(我觉得你不会的)
Sherlock: There's going to be a bomb on a passenger jet.The British and Americans know about it, but rather than expose their source they're going to let it happen, the plane will blow up.Coventry all over again.
Sherlock: Well, you're looking all better. How you feeling?(你看起来状态不错.感觉如何?)Killer: Like putting a bullet in your brain, sir.(感觉想朝你头上开一枪,先生)Sherlock: Hmm.(嗯)
Killer: They'd pin a medal on me if I did...sir.(我真开枪,他们会给我发奖章的先生)Mycroft: The Coventry conundrum. What do you think of my solution? The flight of the dead.(考文垂难题. 死者航班)Sherlock: Plane blows up midair, mission accomplished for the terrorists, hundreds of casualties, but nobody dies.(飞机在半空中爆炸,恐怖主义者的任务完成,上百人的事故,但是没人会死)Mycroft: Neat, don't you think? You've been stumbling around the frin ges of this one for ages.Or were you too bored to notice the pattern? We ran a similar project with the Germans a while back, though I believe one of our passengers didn't make the flight. But that's the deceased for you...late, in every sense of the word.(干净利落,对吧? Sherlock: How is the plane going to fly? Oh, of course, unmanned aircraft, hardly new.(飞机怎么起飞? It will never fly. This entire project is cancelled. The terrorist cells have been informed we know about the bomb.We can't fool them now. We've lost everything. One fragment of one email, and months and years of planning,finished.(它不会起飞.
Mycroft: That's all it takes. One lonely, naive man, desperate to show off, and a woman clever enough to make him feel special.(就这一个原因.一个孤独天真,急于炫耀的男人,一个聪明到能让他自以为特别的女人)Sherlock: You should screen your defence people more carefully.(你该更严格审查你的国防人员了)
Mycroft: I'm not talking about the MOD man, Sherlock, I'm talking about you!The damsel in distress. In the end, are you really so obvious? I've always assumed that love is a dangerous disadvantage.Thank you for the final proof.(不.

Oh, of course, unmanned aircraft, hardly new.(飞机怎么起飞? It will never fly. This entire project is cancelled. The terrorist cells have been informed we know about the bomb.We can't fool them now. We've lost everything. One fragment of one email, and months and years of planning,finished.(它不会起飞.

Irene: I tested that theory for you.I let Sherlock Holmes try it for six months.Sherlock, dear, tell him what you found when you x-rayed my camera-phone.(我帮你验证过了.

Sherlock: There will be two passcodes, one to open the phone, one to burn the drive.Even under duress, you can't know which one she's given and there would be no point in second attempt.(有两个密码,一个打开手机,一个烧掉硬件. Irene: He's good, isn't he? I should have him on a leash. In fact, I might.(他很棒,对吧? 也许我真的会呢)Mycroft: We destroy this, then.No-one has the information.(那我们毁了它,就没人能得到这些信息)Irene: Fine, good idea.Unless there are lives of British citizens depending on the information you burn.(好,很好的想法.
Mycroft: Are there?(有吗?)
Irene: Telling you would be playing fair.I'm not playing any more.A list of my requests, find some ideas about my protection once they're granted.I'd say it wouldn't blow much of a hole in the wealth of a nation, but then I'd be lying.I imagine you'd like to sleep on it.(要是告诉你就是公平游戏. 你有可以考虑一下)Mycroft: Thank you, yes.(谢谢,是的)Irene: Too bad.Off you pop and talk to people.(太糟了.快去跟人们谈条件吧)Mycroft: You've been very...thorough.I wish our lot were half as good as you.(你真是... 真希望我们的人有你一半厉害)Irene: I can't take all the credit, I had a bit of help. 吉姆·莫里亚蒂让我转达致意)Mycroft: Yes, he's been in touch.Seems desperate for my attention, which I'm sure can be arranged.(是的,他一直不消停.急着想得到我的注意,这我当然可以安排)Irene: I had all this stuff and never knew what to do with it.Thank God for the consultant criminal.Gave me a lot of advice about how to play the Holmes boys.Do you know what he calls you? The Ice Man, and the Virgin.Didn't even ask for anything, I think he just likes to cause trouble, now that's my kind of man.(我有这么多东西却不知道该怎么做. Mycroft: And here you are, the dominatrix who brought a nation to its knees.

What are you talking about?(感情用事?你在说什么?)Sherlock: You.(说你)Irene: Oh, dear God.Look at the poor man.You don't actually think I was interested in you? Why? Because you're the great Sherlock Holmes, the clever detective in the funny hat?(上帝啊. 因为你是伟大的夏洛克·福尔摩斯,带着搞笑帽子的聪明侦探?)Sherlock: No.Because I took your pulse.Elevated.Your pupils dilated.I imagine John Watson thinks love's a mystery to me, but the chemistry is incredibly simple and very destructive. When we first met, you told me that disguise is always a self-portrait,how true of you.The combination to your safe, your measurements, but this, this is far more intimate, this is your heart and you should never let it rule your head. You could have chosen any number and walked out of here with everything you work for.But you just couldn't resist it, could you? I've always assumed that love is a dangerous disadvantage.Thank you for the final proof.(不. 瞳孔放 The Scandal In Belgravia(贝尔格莱维亚丑闻)
Irene: Everything I said, it's not real.I was just playing the game.(我说的一切,都不是真的.我只是在玩游戏)Sherlock: I know. And this is just losing. There you are, Brother, hope the contents make up for any inconvenience I may have caused you tonight.(我知道. 希望里面的内容可以弥补我今晚给你带来的麻烦)Mycroft: I'm certain they will.(我想会的)
Sherlock: If you're feeling kind, lock her up, otherwise let her go and I doubt she'll survive long without of her pretection.(想发善心的话,把她关起来.如果放她走我觉得她失去保护,活不了太久)Irene: Are you expecting me to beg?(你想让我求饶?)
Sherlock: Yes.(是的)Irene: Please.You're right.I won't even last six months.(求你.
Watson: You don't smoke.(你不抽烟的)
Mycroft: I also don't frequent cafes.(我也不去咖啡馆)
Watson: This the file on Irene Adler?(这是艾琳·艾德勒的档案?)
Mycroft: Closed forever.I am about to go and inform my brother, or, if you prefer, you are, that she somehow got herself into a witness protection scheme in America.New name, new identity. She will survive and thrive, but he will never see her again.(永远结案. Watson: Why would he care? He despised her at the end.Won't even mention her by name, just 'The Woman'.(他为什么会在意? 从不提她的名字,只是说”那位女人“)Mycroft: Is that loathing or a salute? One of a kind, the one woman who matters.(这是厌恶还是致敬? 独一无二,唯一让人在意的女人)Watson: He's not like that.He doesn't feel things that way, I don't think.(他不是那种人.他没有那种感觉,我觉得不会)Mycroft: My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?(我的弟弟有着科学家或者哲学家的头脑,可他选择成为一个侦探.谁能演绎推理他的心灵?)Watson: I don't know.(我不知道)Mycroft: Neither do I.But, initially, he wanted to be a pirate.(我也不知道.可最开始,他想成为一个海盗)Watson: He'll be OK with this, witness protection, never seeing her again,he'll be fine.(他对这些应该满意,保护证人,不再相见,他没问题的)Mycroft: I agree. That's why I decided to tell him that.(我同意,所以我才决定这样告诉他)
Watson: Instead of what?(而不是告诉他什么?)Mycroft: She's dead. She was captured by a terrorist cell in Karachi two months ago and beheaded.(她已经死了.
Watson: It was definitely her? She's done this before.(确定是她吗? 她之前也曾假死)Mycroft: I was thorough this time.It would take Sherlock Holmes to fool me, and I don't think he was on hand, do you? So...What shall we tell Sherlock?(我这次很确定.
Sherlock: Clearly you've got news.If it's about the Leeds triple murder, it was the gardener. 没人注意耳环吗?)Watson: Hi.Er no, it's, um...it's about Irene Adler.(嗨.
Detective Sherlock
求《神探夏洛克》的英文简介~ This is a story in modern London of a modern sherlock. This TV drama is based on the famous detective novel of the British novelist Arthur Conan Doyle. It took the background from the 19 century to the 21 century. And the fashion and talent detective Sherlock Holmes with his fantastic assistant John Watson are facing a series of dangerous and unusual events in London. There is quite a lot of differences between this fashion sherlock and the classical one.He is fashion,he use blackberry, sent messages. He takes taxi instead of gharry. He writes blogs, he even became a hit on twitter(微博客).But the same thing is that he is thin and tall, sagacious and shows quick first response all the time.He is also good at biology and his incredible outsight shocks the audience all the time. The change of the new sherlock dosen't make us fell uncomfortable, but the quick plot and the mixture of many stories of the novel in every episode makes an impression to holmes fans. All of the changes show that this Holmes belongs to our times.

Sherlock is a British television series that presents a contemporary update of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. It was created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. In this modernized version of the Conan Doyle characters, using his detective plots, Sherlock Holmes lives in early 21st century London and acts more cocky towards Scotland Yard's detective inspector Lestrade because he's actually less confident.Doctor Watson is now a fairly young veteran of the Afghan war, less adoring and more active. After an unbroadcast pilot in 202_, the first series of three 90-minute episodes was transmitted on BBC One and BBC HD in July and August 202_, with a second series of three episodes first broadcast in January 202_.A third series has been commissioned and will reportedly air in 202_.The series has been sold to over 180 territories.Critical reception was overwhelmingly positive and the first series won the 202_ BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama Series. All six episodes have been released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in the UK, alongside tie-in editions of some of Conan Doyle's original books.Soundtrack albums from each series have also been released. After an unbroadcast pilot in 202_, the first series of three 90-minute episodes was transmitted on BBC One and BBC HD in July and August 202_, with a second series of three episodes first broadcast in January 202_.The second series is set to air on BBC America? and the PBS channel in May.A third series has been commissioned and will reportedly air in 202_.The series has been sold to over 180 territories.
